Men's casual shoes: the quick guide
This is the stuff you wear when you're not dressed up: weekends, travel, smart-casual Fridays and dinner out. The range mixes sneakers, leather and suede lace-ups and Originals icons, mostly in our standard men's G width.
Pick by how you'll wear them:
- Jeans and a T-shirt: the Lockford Lace, Courtlite2 Run or Dexter.
- Smart casual: the Flexwell Lace, or leather styles like the Eric and Enrico.
- Lots of walking: the Motion Trek, or see men's walking shoes.
- Heritage styles: the Torhill Lo, the Wallabee or Desert Boot.
Suede or leather?
Suede looks relaxed and goes with chinos and denim, but it marks in the rain unless you spray it with a protector. Leather is easier to wipe clean and handles wet weather better, so it's the better pick if you want one pair for everything.
Sizing tips
Most styles run true to size. The Wallabee is the exception: it's roomy, so most people size down half a size. If you want more ideas, see men's sneakers and men's loafers.
Frequently asked questions
What casual shoes go with everything?
A plain leather sneaker in white or tan, or a sand suede Desert Boot. Both work with jeans, chinos and shorts.
Can I wear suede in the rain?
A light shower is fine if you've used a suede protector spray. Let wet suede dry naturally away from heat, then brush it to lift the nap.
Do Wallabees run big?
Yes. Most people size down half a size in the Wallabee. Other styles in this range generally run true to size.
Are these good for travel?
Yes. Pick a cushioned sneaker or walking style for long days sightseeing, and a smart-casual lace-up if you need one pair that also works for dinner.
